Mobilise Technology Launches Copenhagen Airport Wi-Fi Travel Service Powered by iPass

New app to provide passengers with unlimited Wi-Fi access at millions of hotspots globally

LONDON, UK & REDWOOD SHORES, California, July 25, 2017 –MobiliseTechnology, a global leader in providing consultancy, software and managed services to the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) market, and iPass Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS), a leading provider of global mobile connectivity, today announced the launch of a new Wi-Fi Travel service for Copenhagen Airport passengers. Copenhagen Airport is the largest airport in Scandinavia, serving 29 million passengers each year, and the new service will provide these passengers with unlimited data access to millions of Wi-Fi hotspots globally.

Mobilise, with its Mobilise Hotspots solution, has designed and delivered an end-to-end CPH Travel Wi-Fi service, including the mobile app, e-commerce site, billing systems, and supporting payment services, which it will be operating as a managed service for Copenhagen Airport. The iPass SmartConnect™ SDK has been used to embed global Wi-Fi connectivity into the app, providing users simple and secure Wi-Fi access at airports, hotels, planes, train stations, convention centres, outdoor venues, and public spaces, in more than 120 countries worldwide.

The Wi-Fi Travel service will be offered as a one, two, three or 6-month subscription, with no time or usage limits. Prices start at 109,50 Danish Kroners a month (16 USD). Users will be able to access the service on PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices, and connect up to three devices at a time. The application will also provide automatic connectivity in the background, and users will not have to contend with advertising or splash screens.

“We are excited to be able to offer this new Wi-Fi service to passengers using Copenhagen Airport,” said Hamish White, Founder and CEO of Mobilise Technology. “The iPass SmartConnect SDK has been instrumental in enabling us to deliver a comprehensive Wi-Fi solution. This implementation of MobiliseHotstpotsdemonstrates how airports can benefit from offering global Wi-Fi services to passengers – creating new revenue streams and enhancing engagement with customers in the airport.”

“No matter who we are, we all depend on connectivity, and therefore, we are delighted that passengers using Copenhagen Airport will benefit from access to our global Wi-Fi network,” said Patricia Hume, chief commercial officer of iPass. “In the connected world we live in, being without Wi-Fi is no longer an option. As such, travellers need a cost-effective way to stay connected, regardless of where their travels take them, the number of devices they have, and how much data they want to use.”

Jan Zacho from Copenhagen Airport said, “We see global Wi-Fi connectivity as a real value-add for people passing through our airport. We believe our Wi-Fi Travel service will be a hit with passengers, and we see it as a great additional source of revenue as the demand for Wi-Fi continues to soar.”
