Consumer eSIM has been around since 2016, but it is still misunderstood in the market. Following the eSIM-only iPhone 14 and 14 Pro release in the US market, confusion has only spread further. Apple was by no means the first to introduce an eSIM-only phone. However, their popularity allows them to set the trends. It’s clear that the launch will have a massive impact on the telecoms industry. And Hamish and Jean-Christophe have met to discuss how the release will affect the industry.
